What is a Web Site?
A Website is a collection of logically interconnected web pages, united under one domain name, which are understood and processed by the browser and displayed on the user's device, accessed through the HTTP/HTTPS protocol.
The Web pages that make up the site are a set of text files marked in HTML language which allows you to format text, define functional elements in it, create hyperlinks and add images, audio and video files to the page.
Some sites contain a minimum amount of information (content), for example - a business card site, whereas some are equipped with a huge amount of diverse functionality. This type of website can be called a full-fledged Web application (Facebook, Twitter).
The same site can be accessed by different Web addresses and stored on different servers, and there are also copies of sites that are available for viewing on any user's device without connecting to the Internet (offline version of the site).
Various IT specialists - developers, testers, designers and managers work on the creation of a site.
The advantage of web sites over other sources of information is obvious - the site is accessible 24/7, and all interested users can access it from anywhere in the world. More and more people use web sites for viewing news, communication, shopping and various forms of entertainment.
